1. Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Plothub! By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our service. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of Plothub constitutes acceptance of any changes.

2. Description of Service

Plothub is a collaborative screenplay writing platform that allows users to:

• Create and edit screenplays with industry-standard formatting
• Collaborate with other writers in real-time
• Import and export scripts in various formats (PDF, FDX)
• Manage access permissions for collaborators and read-only users
• Comment and provide feedback on scripts
• Version and save drafts of scripts

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time with or without notice.

3. Account Registration & Responsibilities

To use Plothub, you must:

• Be at least 13 years of age
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and account
• Use a strong password that meets our security requirements
• Promptly update your account information if it changes
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

You may not share your account credentials or allow anyone else to access your account. You are responsible for notifying us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

4. User Content & Intellectual Property

You retain full ownership of your content. Any scripts, screenplays, or other creative content you create on Plothub ("User Content") remains your intellectual property.

By uploading or creating content on Plothub, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

• Store, display, and transmit your content to provide the service
• Make temporary copies for backup and technical purposes
• Share your content with collaborators you've explicitly granted access to
• Generate exports (PDF, FDX) at your request

This license exists solely to operate the service and ends when you delete your content or account. We will never use your creative work for any other purpose without your explicit permission.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use Plothub to:

• Upload or share illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or hateful content
• Violate any intellectual property rights or copyrights
• Harass, bully, or threaten other users
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other user accounts
• Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) without permission
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation
• Spam other users or use the service for unsolicited commercial purposes

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

6. Collaboration & Sharing

When you invite collaborators to your scripts, you control their level of access:

• Manage: Full control including adding/removing collaborators
• Write: Can edit and modify the script
• Read: View-only access

You are responsible for managing who has access to your scripts. Be cautious about whom you grant access to, as Plothub is not responsible for disputes between collaborators or unauthorized sharing of content by users you've granted access to.

7. Free & Paid Plans

Free Plan

Our free plan includes:

• 1 active project
• 2 collaborators per project
• All core features (real-time collaboration, FDX import/export, PDF export)

Pro Plan (Coming Soon)

Our Pro plan will include:

• Unlimited projects
• Unlimited collaborators
• Up to 12 concurrent collaborators writing at the same time
• Priority support
• Pricing: R$ 5.99 per user per month (≈ $4 USD)

Billing & Cancellation

When paid plans become available, you may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing period. No refunds will be provided for partial billing periods, except as required by law.

8. Service Availability & Changes

We strive to provide reliable service, but we do not guarantee that Plothub will be available 100% of the time. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues. We reserve the right to modify, add, or remove features at any time.

9. Data Backup & Loss

While we implement backup systems and take reasonable measures to protect your data, you are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important content. We recommend regularly exporting your scripts. We are not liable for any loss of data due to technical failures, service outages, or account deletion.

10. Account Termination

By You: You may delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion, your personal information and content will be permanently removed within 30 days.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you:

• Violate these Terms of Service
• Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity
• Abuse or harass other users
• Fail to pay for paid services (when applicable)

We will attempt to notify you before terminating your account, except in cases of serious violations or legal requirements.

11. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

Service "As Is": Plothub is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, Plothub and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your use or inability to use the service
• Unauthorized access to your account or content
• Data loss or corruption
• Errors, bugs, or service interruptions
• Actions of other users or third parties

12. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brazil. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of Plothub shall be resolved in the courts of Brazil. For users outside Brazil, you may also have rights under your local consumer protection laws.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Plothub and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

14. Third-Party Services

Plothub uses third-party services (such as AWS for storage) to operate. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party service providers.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or through the service. Your continued use of Plothub after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should stop using the service.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Plothub regarding the use of our service and supersede any prior agreements.
